TapMed Medizintechnik Handels GmbH has been a leading supplier of high-quality medical technology products to hospitals and private clinics for over 30 years. Our product range includes patient care, plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery, and animal health solutions.
Our expertise allows us to serve as a reliable partner in medical technology for approximately 1,400 clinics across Germany. Our close cooperation with internationally successful manufacturers from various countries enables us to offer our customers an exclusive range of innovative products. Our products facilitate the work of doctors and nursing staff, enhance patient protection, and contribute to greater cost efficiency in patient care.
Our team of in the office and in the field is available to answer all of our customers‘ questions. We view ourselves as consultants and mediators between users and manufacturers, and are pleased to pass on suggestions and find individual solutions together. We are well-versed in our customers‘ needs and are pleased to assist them in selecting the optimal products.
Our TapMed ACADEMY offers a further avenue of customer service in the form of training courses and workshops. Regular participation in specialist congresses and exhibitions enhances our prompt and reliable service, which is highly regarded by numerous long-standing customers.
TapMed Network
Strong partners you can count on
TapMed supplies over 80 percent of all German hospitals with high-quality medical and technical equipment from international manufacturers. In addition to covering the entire German market, TapMed Swiss AG was founded in 2019 to also cover Switzerland with a selected portfolio. TapMed Austria GmbH followed in 2024 to expand the success in Austria. Since 2022, we have had an exclusive logistics partner in TapMed Logistik GmbH. As independent companies, we work sustainably by sharing resources, knowledge and technology – the TapMed Network.
More than 70 employees of the TapMed Network in the office and in the field generate an annual turnover of around 15 million euros.
Through regular participation in trade fairs and congresses, the offer of workshops, comprehensive marketing campaigns and targeted PR activities, the TapMed Network has built up a strong market presence in the DACH area.

Certification according to DIN ISO 13485
As an ISO-certified company, we place paramount importance on the highest product quality and safety standards. As early as 1997 TapMed achieved quality management certification and placed strong emphasis on the utmost in product safety and quality with its product portfolio. All operational activities are subject to a comprehensive quality assurance system. Ongoing continuing education measures for our staff ensure reliable business processes. This guarantees compliance with the medical device standard ISO 13485.
We are a member of BVMed – The German Medical Technology Association, which represents over 240 manufacturers, distributors and suppliers in the medical technology industry, as well as providers of medical aids and homecare.
